Dear all,
As we move closer to the reopening of the chemistry rooms we can start to think about the
necessary re-induction required before access can be granted. Please can we all meet at
9.30am next Thursday 24th in the Wallace lecture theatre so I can go though the induction
and brief people on what they need to do in preparation for being able to access the
chemistry rooms once more.
This is a mandatory meeting for all lab users. Everybody wanting to access the entire
suite (instruments and chemistry rooms) must attend.
In addition those who have not undergone the mandatory COSHH, fume cabnet and laser safety
(only those using the lasers need to do this one) courses must complete these. They can be
found on learning central under “organisations” and are in the EARTH safety health and
environment module. This is a requirement for all staff and students who use the labs. If
you cannot access these then please let me know and I’ll sort it.
Cheers,
Edward
