Dear all,
To reiterate what was said in the lab meeting for those that were not there. The lab is
cleaned fortnightly on a Friday afternoon according to the rota made by Sofiya. If you
cannot attend the cleaning that you are rostered for you must let Sofiya know. If you fail
to attend your cleaning you will be added onto additional weeks to make up for the
additional workload on your colleagues.
The protocol for cleaning the lab is found on teams in the induction and training folder.
It is not up to individual users to decide if they want to follow this protocol or
disagree with it. If you have an issue with the way I am asking you to clean the lab then
please come and discuss it directly with me and not take it upon yourselves to tell others
that it is pointless to clean in such a way.
Finally, I need to reiterate the nature of the way we operate in the lab. We need to talk
to each other with respect, regardless of experience level. Just because one user may have
experience of working in another lab does not give them a carte blanche to patronise or
correct another user that has been trained only in our lab. Failure to work in a
collegiate manner and treat your colleagues with the respect they deserve is not
acceptable and I simply will not allow it to happen.
As always my door is always open if you want to come and chat about anything, no matter
how minor.
Cheers,
Edward
