Now I’m back and the lab is up and running again I want to get the lab meetings going. We will meet next Tuesday 14th at 10am. I’ll send out location details when the room booking is confirmed.
Please can you all attend as I need to go through the revised HF protocol. ALL lab users (regardless of if you use HF or not) need to have this training so please attend so I don’t have to deliver it multiple times :)

Dear all,
I need to remind you about the schools policy on access to the labs. Core hours (Monday to Friday 08.30-16.30) must be respected and no access outside of these hours is permitted to the chemistry rooms. Under some circumstances access to the instrument rooms is possible outside of these times but permission must be requested from myself. These rules are made clear as part of the lab induction that everyone undergoes. Failure to comply with these (and other safety rules) will ultimately result in your access being revoked.
If anyone has any issues with this or it will interfere with your workflow then please come and discuss with me.

Dear all,
Please note that due to an issue with the central heating supply the heat controller to the AHU which serves the clean labs will be shut down on Monday for up to 5 days. During this time the lab might get quite cold. Please dress appropriately and don’t be alarmed you get a frosty reception from the clean labs.
I am away at a conference next week but Lizan is around as is Lindsey (not on Monday though).

Dear all,
Further to my email this morning I’m going to hold a lab meeting at 11am next Monday 9th Jan. I haven’t been able to book a room yet because the person responsible for this is on leave at the moment but I’ll communicate this with you ASAP.
Please make an effort to attend even if you aren’t booked in during this period as there are other bits I need to discuss with you all.
Additionally there are still lots of users that haven’t joined the dedicated mailing list. Please can you do this now as I will soon stop emailing you all directly and just use the mailing list for communicating. Link to subscribe is below.
Finally, if you need to find me in person I have moved office to room 2.26A, which is a bit hidden but is off the large rock sorting room opposite Chris Macleods office.
