Afternoon all –

This is just a brief message to wish the whole Wolfson team and our colleagues a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and to extend a huge thank you to all of you for your hard work this year. As 2023 draws to a close, it’s fantastic to be able to reflect upon so many successes and brilliant achievements across the centre. It’s been an exceptionally busy year with so much for us to be proud of – including awards of prestigious fellowships and competitive funding, delivery of 24 Public Involvement events, 4 public lectures and 2 clinical spotlight talks, another successful Summer School with attendees from over 23 different countries, and the publication of over 70 new papers and articles.

Members of our Scientific Advisory Board recently commended us on our work to date, stating that the centre has exceeded their expectations. They highlighted the productivity of researchers in the Centre, the extent of cross-disciplinary integration across workstreams, our new international collaborations, and most importantly, recognised that we are conducting ‘science that makes a difference’. This is in no small part thanks to the incredibly talented team of dedicated staff we feel very lucky to have within Wolfson.

A huge thanks for all your efforts this year – we’re looking forward to an even more successful 2024!
