Dear Colleagues,
I’m very pleased to announce the launch of Advances in Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry

a new, community-run, and Diamond Open Access journal, which I’m sure will be of great
interest to many in our community. We intend to open for submissions from January 20,
2025. AGC offers a unique opportunity to publish in a journal that is entirely managed by
scientists, free from the constraints of large-scale publishers. It is part of the Guild
of Diamonds, joining a wider collective of established Diamond Open Access journals in
Earth Sciences, including Seismica, Volcanica, and Tektonika.
The journal will focus on long-format submissions from the broad fields of geochemistry
and cosmochemistry, comparable in scope to those found in GCA or Chemical Geology. A
highly capable and diverse team of editors has been assembled to handle submissions and
can be browsed here
https://journals.uu.se/AGC/handlingeditors<https://eur03.safelinks.prote…amp;reserved=0>.
We are very keen to encourage submissions from across our field and to ensure the journal
is well-prepared for its launch, we’re asking people to register their interest in
submitting to AGC via this
form:https://forms.gle/GHHmHioBdRSijPas7<https://eur03.safelinks.protect…amp;reserved=0>.
This will help us gauge the volume of anticipated submissions and plan accordingly to
manage the workloads of our team. If you are planning a submission, please make sure to
follow the instructions and author guidelines here
https://journals.uu.se/AGC/about/submissions<https://eur03.safelinks.pro…amp;reserved=0>.
For more information about the journal and the team behind it, please visit our
website:https://journals.uu.se/AGC/about/editorialTeam<https://eur03.saf…amp;reserved=0>.
Thank you for supporting this initiative. We’re really looking forward to your
contributions and feedback as we build this journal together.
All the best,
Elliot Carter
